Twin Pirates Treasure Hunt - 4/7/12

Arr, Matey! We be back!!

And we be... um... yeah, I'm not as good at this as other people. Here we are again - seeking caches now that the weather has gotten better (I'm more of an indoorsy kind of hamster - that cold was a bit concerning!) KBLAST was out caching throughout the winter, and I went once in a while, but I finally gave up and decided to do some online research. Journey tried her best, and I worked hard training.
When I saw the cache Twin Pirates Treasure Hunt open again after winter, I knew THIS would be my kind of cache!!! Sailing the seven seas, seeking treasure, and NOT WINTER FRIENDLY!!! Well, Journey and I searched high and low in the most obvious spots, but to no avail.

You can see we had a lot of fun, but no cache! It turns out we were searching near the parking coordinates, not the actual stage 1. :( I wondered why KBLAST and his friends weren't searching with us!!! Next time I'll have to read the cache page a little better.

Pinball Wizard - 1/8/12

Journey and I immediately knew where to look for information to do Pinball Wizard. We tried a few things, but in the end we couldn't figure out what was necessary to solve this one.
So we decided to check out this cheat pad! We followed these arrows for a long way, but eventually they all run us into a brick wall. We still had a great time!

Changes to the blog - 1/5/12

Before the confusion and problems with local cachers and Groundspeak, I was on a mission to post a blog once a day. I am now changing that mission and I'm going to be more selective for two reasons... One: I don't want to get in trouble so I'm being a little less concerned with "making sure I try a cache today". And two: KBLAST has finished doing their year long streak and are going to be more sporadic with geocaching, so I won't always have the opportunity. Thanks a ton to everyone who has taken an interest in this little Blog - I will do my best to try to find a cache at least once a week!!!

Mocopulence - 1/1/12

Hooray!!! 2012! And my teammates, KBLAST, are seeking their 2000th geocache! What a great day for all of us!!! This was a large group searching high and low. Here you can see me and Journey up high, with A and S of KBLAST searching with their friends down below at Mocopulence.

It was COLD!!! The whole group searched for 2 hours, and we wondered if we were EVER going to find it.
Can you see us in the picture?! We're way up high on that structure. This is seriously one amazing place. KBLAST got their 2000th cache, but we were not able to find this one. We couldn't even really find the clues. However, in a place as amazing and beautiful as this, it's not really fair to say that something wasn't found, so I'm just logging a note this time around.

Hooker Cemetery - 12/31/11

Got to Hooker Cemetery with the hopes of finding this large container with Journey to finish of 2011 right, with a find!!! But nope - we got there, and sadly, after searching where I thought a LARGE cache would HAVE to be to be hidden from muggles in this area, we found nothing. :( Maybe 2012 will be better for us!!!

Conspiracy Theory - 12/30/11

OK, guys... I'm super serious!

Avoid this cache like NOTHING you've ever done before! This one really scared me and Journey.

We prepared to take on Conspiracy Theory as best as we could, but MAN those pictures and the sound was scary!!! I finally had to tell KBLAST to finish this one without me. Glad I did! I don't want any aliens getting at me and messing me up like B of KBLAST!!!

Ring Around The Riggins and TFTC Challenge - 12/28/11

I'm really glad KBLAST actually remembered me this time, but I was bummed that I was once again unable to find Ring Around The Riggins. I found some spots that seemed like _I_ fit perfectly, but no cache! Even little S was trying to help me, and Journey was rooting me on as she often does! Oh well.

I knew I wouldn't be able to actually log the cache TFTC Challenge, but I thought I'd go look for the cache at least while KBLAST was there. Well, once again, another sign thwarting my attempts. Seriously? A leash? I almost left a pile on the sign just to express my displeasure, but then I saw the second line and didn't feel like KBLAST deserved to have to follow through with that one. Maybe tomorrow after our meeting with Parks and Recreation in Pickerington I'll be able to find a geocache!!!
