I am not a premium member (out of work hamsters trying to earn the right to work for Groundspeak don't make much - er, any - money) but thankfully KBLAST is! He decided to take me along on this one - "Riddle Me This" - A River Walk.
B and A of KBLAST finished it with a non-geocaching friend, blandestk, and TheLadyBee, while the owner watched and spent a lot of time laughing. It was getting late, and it was a multi, but KBLAST agreed to let me give it a shot. I can now say that Premium Members Only caches are NOT going to make things easier on me. :( At stage one I crawled all over the rocks, and when some of them jiggled I nearly fell into the water and KBLASTed myself. KBLASTing oneself is a term blandestk and TheLadyBee made up that stands for attempting to traverse water, only to fall in.
I finally quit searching the rocks and climbed out the pipe you can see in the picture. I thought about crawling IN that pipe, but after my spider experience yesterday, I have been a bit gun-shy going into closed quarters where a lot of spiders may live. After several minutes of roaming all over that darned wall, I finally had to give up and call it a night. Too bad - the other stages looked like a lot of fun.
To be honest, though, I'm not sure I could have finished. Apparently there was a part of this cache where I was required to run 10 miles per hour to barely outrun a train, and my little hamster legs are NOT going to get up to that speed. I would have ended up traintrackkill! So, I left my 7th day and 8th cache with yet another DNF. I'll be back at it tomorrow!
